DESCRIPTION

Asphalt Cutback is a liquid asphalt used in road construction, made by blending asphalt cement with a petroleum solvent, known as a diluent. This process liquefies the asphalt, making it easier to apply to road surfaces. Once applied, the solvent evaporates, leaving behind the asphalt cement for effective bonding. There are three grades of Asphalt Cutback, classified based on the evaporation rate of the solvent: RC (Rapid-curing), which uses highly volatile solvents like gasoline or naphtha for quick drying; MC (Medium-curing), made with intermediate solvents like kerosene, offering slower drying; and SC (Slow-curing), which contains low-volatility oils like diesel, resulting in the slowest drying time.
