PRODUCT OVERVIEW
DESCRIPTION
Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) 85% is a clear yellow liquid primarily used as an oxygen scavenger in medium and high-pressure boiler water treatment, as well as a free radical inhibitor in polymerization processes. It also serves as a stabilizer for photosensitive resins and emulsions, and as an effective antioxidant for unsaturated oils and synthetic resins, preventing degradation. Additionally, DEHA is used in the production of styrene-butadiene rubber and as a photochemical smog inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor in heat exchange systems. Manufactured by reacting triethylamine with a peroxide, followed by purification and distillation, DEHA 85% also has environmental applications, such as the reduction of heavy metals like hexavalent chromium to the more eco-friendly trivalent chromium. Its aqueous solution is useful in industrial processes requiring corrosion control and optimization of boiler water quality.
