DESCRIPTION

Sodium Thiocyanate is a white, odorless solid produced from cyanide and sulfur. It is widely used in the metal and steel industry, textiles, construction, fibers, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and fine chemicals. It is a dechlorinating agent often used as an accelerator in concrete curing, cement grinding, and concrete admixtures. It helps to improve the hydration process of concrete, leading to higher strength and durability while reducing the risk of cracking. It is also used as an anti-corrosion agent in coatings to protect steel structures from oxidation and rust. Additional applications are in manufacturing explosives, deicing fluids, synthetic fibers, fungicides in agriculture, and textile processing.
