DESCRIPTION

n-Propyl Bromide (nPB) is a clear, almost colorless liquid with a strong ether-like odor. It is primarily used as a solvent in vapor degreasing, metal cleaning, and dry cleaning processes. Additionally, nPB serves as a carrier solvent in adhesives and as a chemical intermediate in various reactions. Known for its excellent solvent properties, it effectively dissolves oils and soils from machined metals. While non-flammable, nPB reacts slowly with water to form corrosive acids and can react with metals such as aluminum and zinc.
