DESCRIPTION
Dibutylamine (DBA, also known as di-N-butylamine or DNBA) is a colorless liquid with an ammonia-like odor. This versatile secondary amine is used in large volumes in the production of agricultural chemicals, such as carbosulfan, and in the manufacture of rubber chemicals, like di-n-butylthiocarbamato tiuram. It is also involved in the production of dibutylethanolamine, a chemical used in coatings and paints, and tetrabutylurea, a solvent used in certain hydrogen peroxide processes. Additionally, DBA is utilized in the production of catalysts and corrosion inhibitors.
