Glycol Ether PnP Wiki
CAS: 1569-01-3
Glycol Ether
PnP (propylene glycol mono-n-propyl ether) is a primary solvent used in many
industrial sectors due to its high solubility and compatibility in organic and
aqueous systems. It is a well-known solvent with low toxicity, high solvent
performance and a safer alternative for formulation ingredients in many
potential industrial products. With these key characteristics (very efficient
solvency combined with low volatility, as well as a positive environmental
profile) it works very well in applications where effective dissolution and
stability are required but we do not want to compromise on either user safety
or product quality. Further, its high miscibility with other solvents broadens
the scope of formulations which makes it an immensely used chemical in all
modern manufacturing processes.
