DESCRIPTION

Glycol Ether EPH, also known as Phenoxyethanol, is an aromatic, slow-evaporating glycol ether with a wide range of applications. It appears as a clear, low-viscous liquid with a faint characteristic odor and is soluble in alcohol and ether, while being partially soluble in water. EPH is commonly used as a solvent in printing inks, a carrier solvent for textile dyes, a coalescent for latex adhesives, and a fixative for perfumes. In addition to its use in personal care products and water-based coatings, Glycol Ether EPH serves as a solvent for plasticizers, resins, and inks, and acts as an emulsifier, corrosion inhibitor, bactericidal agent, and perfume fixative. It is also utilized in pharmaceuticals and insect repellents. EPH is effective as a solvent for acrylic resin, nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, ethyl cellulose, epoxy resin, and phenoxy resin. It enhances the properties of paints, printing ink, and ballpoint ink, and functions as a bactericide and film-forming aid in detergents and water-based coatings.
