DESCRIPTION

Triethanolamine (TEA) is a viscous, colorless liquid that has a strong ammonia-like odor. It is an organic compound commonly used as a pH balancer, surfactant, emulsifier, and buffering agent in a variety of industrial and consumer applications, such as in the production of detergents, personal care products, and agricultural chemicals. It is also used in the production of gas treating solvents, lubricant additives, and cement grinding aids. TEA is soluble in water and alcohol and can react with acids to form salts.
