PRODUCT OVERVIEW
DESCRIPTION
Hydroxypropyl Methacrylate (HPMA) is a clear, colorless, non-toxic liquid ester of methacrylic acid. Known for its unique characteristics, it is widely used across various industries. In the production of acrylic polymers, HPMA is utilized in adhesives, coatings, and printing inks, offering enhanced adhesion, corrosion resistance, and water resistance. As a reactive diluent, HPMA serves as a styrene alternative in unsaturated polyester resins (UPR). It also finds application as a water-soluble embedment in electron microscopy, preserving tissue reactivity. Additionally, HPMA acts as a scale inhibitor and dispersant in industrial processes such as cooling and boiler water treatment, reverse osmosis, and desalination, where it provides shrinkage resistance and stability.
