TXIB (2,2,4-Trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol diisobutyrate) is a non-toxic plasticizer without a benzene ring, making it suitable for use in plastic products such as children's toys, medical materials, and food packaging. It is a versatile plasticizer that can blend well with both primary and secondary plasticizers, achieving optimal performance, particularly when used in combination with DOP. This versatility ensures that TXIB enhances the flexibility and durability of plastic materials across various applications. In industrial applications, TXIB is essential for effectively reducing the viscosity of high-density PVC plastisol formulations. When applied to PVC butanediol, TXIB not only lowers the viscosity of the solution but also improves its stability. This facilitates easy pouring into molds with small die outlets and minimizes air bubble formation in the PVC solution, resulting in a smooth and aesthetically pleasing surface on the final product, with no migration to the surface.
