PRODUCT OVERVIEW
DESCRIPTION
Sodium Hypophosphite Monohydrate is a white crystalline, colorless powder that is hygroscopic and deliquescent. It is easily soluble in water, glycerin, and alcohol, but not soluble in ether. Sodium Hypophosphite Monohydrate is also commonly used as a reducing agent, a flame retardant, and a stabilizer in various industrial applications. This compound is primarily used as a reductant in the chemical plating process, capable of producing a dense and uniform nickel-phosphorus film on both large equipment and tiny components, as well as items with complex external shapes, such as those with convex-concave lines or deep-hollowed internal walls. It is also applied on non-metal surfaces like plastics, ceramics, and glass. The resulting film is known for its surface hardness and abrasion resistance, making it widely applicable in industries such as electronics, aviation, and petroleum. Additionally, it serves as an interface activator, a molecular weight (M.W.) moderator, and a thermo-stabilizer for synthetic resins. The compound's versatility extends to its use as a flame retardant and stabilizer in various other industrial processes.
