DESCRIPTION
Potassium Bitartrate, also known as Cream of Tartar or Potassium Acid Tartrate, is the Potassium Acid Salt of L- (+) Tartaric Acid. It is a white crystalline powder obtained as a by-product of the wine production. Approved by the FDA as a direct food substance, it is used as an additive, stabilizer, pH control agent, antimicrobial agent, processing aid, or thickener in various food products. Potassium Bitartrate is widely used in Construction, Gypsum Plaster, and O&G applications as a retarder, extending the setting rate and workability, especially in hotter temperatures.
